Rob Fahrni points out just how much the flow of news is changing - there's already a Wikipedia page for yesterday's Mumbai terror attacks, and the flow of updates was fast and furious through Twitter (including some ad-hoc hospital updates asking for blood donations). This is the face of modern news: faster, more local, and more widely distributed. The major players (like the cable news outlets) obviously have a role in all this, but they're going to have to pay a lot more attention to things like Twitter as time goes by.
