Stereo equipment used to be simple. Plug it in, turn it on, adjust the volume. Now? I have two devices in the house that periodically lose their minds. The Sony receiver in the family room (with the big tv) sometimes just stops allowing audio - from anything. To fix that, we have to unplug it, count to 10 or so, and plug it back in. Given the tangle of wires in that area, that's a laugh-a-minute task.

yesterday, I wanted to use the new iLive we bought while I was on the treadmill - it wasn't making a sound. I tried the same trick - unplug, count, replug. Presto, it worked fine. I'm no luddite, but I don't see this as progress :)
