We're getting closer to the right values. I'm currently at a basal rate of 1.3/H, Carb Ratio of 1:6 and a Sensitivity of 1:25. Meals seem to end up back in the target range, which is good.

I had an interesting mishap today though. I forget today was the fourth day for my set.. my insertion point started to get itchy and after eating a meal, my BGL shot up high. I added a correction bolus but it didn't come back down as fast as it should have.

I realized I needed to do a set change, the insulin wasn't being delivered properly. When I took the old set off, the skin around the insertion point was a little puffed up, it was also very sore like I'd just been bitten by an angry ant or two. The swelling went down quickly enough and it doesn't itch at that spot any more.

I'll have to pay more attention to 'set change day' to avoid this happening again.

On a related note.. why are there so few blogs out there about swapping to the pump that lay it all out there, bare bones and all like I'm doing? Perhaps I'm not focusing on the positives enough?

Some positives: Injections? gone! The only kit I carry around is the testing thing when I go out - the pump is already clipped on to my pants. I feel a little bit freer with my life.
