All I can say is wow - I listen to "This Week in Tech" on a regular basis, and Leo Laporte has always come across as a pretty level headed, fair minded guy, but boy: an innocent disclosure question from Mike Arrington about the Palm Pre (did he buy it, or did he have a review unit) just sent Laporte over to crazy-town. You can watch the embedded video over at TechCrunch. The disclosure question is perfectly fair - just consider what people have said about the reviews of Apple gadgets from various fanboys over the years.

There's got to be some kind of back-story to the hostility on display there, but even so - that was just an awe inspiring meltdown. Laporte needs to either explain or apologize. Probably both.
