It's easier to write about bad service examples; they make for much better stories. It's worth pointing out the good examples though. This morning I had one with Comcast. We had lost Video on Demand on both of our HD DVR boxes (Comcast kit), so I called for an appointment. Comcast called ahead to ask whether they could arrive early, and sure enough - they did. The tech who came out knew his stuff, spotting the extra signal splitting that was causing trouble (some by us, some from other Comcast techs), and fixed the problem within 20 minutes.
Prompt, knowledgeable, and speedy - I wish all vendor interactions went as well as this one did.
