I posted my Boston talk yesterday, and towards the end of the talk, I was asked about two people editing the same method in different browsers - I said "the last edit wins". I got a correction on that from Michael overnight:

two people edit the same method at the same time, you get notified when the first person saves the method and you attempt to edit

So there you have it - collaborative development with Web Velocity works pretty well.
