It looked like the Sox might have salvaged one in the 8th with a 2 run shot, but then the Yankees came right back in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs. Back to back homers by Damon and Teixeira, and then a 2 run single by Swisher made it 5-2. That brought in Rivera in the top of the 9th, and - as usual - lights out. There's still a lot of baseball left to play, but this has to be deflating for the Red Sox. It's absolutely great news for the Yankees though - 6 1/2 games up in early August is a great place to be!
