Is Twitter getting attacked again (or still?) - the site was down today (as I write this Twitterific is showing me an error):

All told, the service appears to have been offline for approximately 20 minutes. As of this writing service has been restored. A glance at real-time Twitter search engine Twazzup showed a 20-minute gap in posts on a popular trending topic.

It looks to me like attacks against Twitter might be a regular occurrence from here on out; the site is big enough that it's attracting that kind of unwanted attention...
