At last the Twitter business model is starting to come into focus: the y intend to sell "Pro" accounts that come with some (undefined) set of features and access to analytics:
Co-founder Biz Stone said the company is in the first phase of rolling out commercial accounts that will entice business users to pay for premium services like detailed analytics. After that, the company might move into building business-oriented application programming interfaces (APIs), creating a âcommercial layerâ over the social network. The commercial APIs would be out âlater this year,â he said.
I use Twitter for work stuff (I have my own account and a "Cincom Smalltalk" one as well - I'm not at all sure what would entice me to start paying for either one...
