Well, here's some affirmation for Smalltalk: Smalltalk for Google Wave. You can see it running on the demo page here; it looks like Peter Fisk (formerly the Vista Smalltalk guy) is behind this (based on this cls posting):

GWT Smalltalk is an implementation of the Smalltalk language created with GWT (Google Web Toolkit). It compiles Smalltalk code to JavaScript and supports traditional Smalltalk class inheritance and method lookup.

Looks like Smalltalk in the Browser is spreading fast - Web Velocity, Clamato, and now GWT Smalltalk.
