It's probably a good idea to do a clean install with any new OS, but I - like most people - just take the "upgrade in place" path. That's mostly worked out for me with the Mac, but I've been having random beachball events - locking the Macbook up for up to three minutes. That happened during the podcast this morning, which is certainly going to make for an enjoyable editing job :)
I took a look at the Console after that, and noticed that a non-existant printer driver was constantly attempting to spin up. I'm not sure whether that was the source of the problem, but I pulled the plist file out of the launch agents directory, restarted, and at least I don't have that happening all the time. I guess I'll find out over the next day or so whether it cleared my problem.
