Speaking of old-think, I see that Comcast is thinking of buying NBC:

Comcast, the nation's largest cable operator with almost 25 million subscribers, has been looking to increase its content holdings for several years. In NBC Universal it would get its hands on not only a big broadcast network and movie studio, but also several powerful cable channels, including USA, Syfy, CNBC, MSNBC and Bravo.

This is one of those deals where all the senior managers involved in the decision will be saying "synergy". Meanwhile, all the line employees will know what's actually coming down the pike: "Child of AOL/Time Warner". If this deal goes through, I predict that the combination will end up being smaller than either one is now..
