Baseball should go back to the 154 game schedule, and have more makeup games be doubleheaders - so that the playoffs would start in September, not October. Why? Well, consider the delays in the Rockies/Phillies series:
A cold front moved into Denver overnight, dropping temperatures into the teens with record lows for the date. Coors Field was covered with a thin layer of snow and ice Saturday morning and flurries were expected to continue through the night.
Now consider a world series in Denver in November - a few days of bad weather could make for some real excitement...
