This is good news for SciFi fans - Stargate Universe is coming back for a second season:

Syfy announced it was renewing its new series Stargate Universe for a second season and it was also picking up Sanctuary for a third season. Both were given 20 episode orders which will begin airing in the fall.

I've been enjoying the first season a lot so far. Unlike the other SG series (which I liked), none of the characters seem to be able to "pull a rabbit out of a hat" at the last minute. As often as not, "brilliant plans" by Rush, or Young, just don't work out that well. On SG-1, you knew that Carter or Daniel was always going to come up with something; on Atlantis, Rodney or Sheapard were the same way. On SGU, it's way more gritty.
