Around Thanksgiving, our dishwasher needed a repair job - now I'm getting our (second) fridge repaired. With all of the hilday cooking coming up, having additional cold storage is really useful, so I decided to have the thing looked at - it stopped working a few months ago. Turns out it's a relatively minor electrical problem; the compressor is still fine. More expensive to fix than I'd like, but a whole lot cheaper than a new one, that's for sure...

Update: Doh, spoke too soon. The compressor is the bad, so it's not even worth fixing. Sigh...
