We've pushed the release out the door - ObjectStudio 8.2 and VisualWorks 7.7 are being shipped to customers now. The non-commercial/academic releases are not quite ready yet; with the holiday season upon us, they will likely be available for download the first work week in January.

So what's new?

ObjectStudio:

• Windows 7 Certified - the only Smalltalk environment that can say this
• Modeling Tool - forward abd reverse engineering within ObjectStudio
• Mapping Tool - Connect your Smalltalk Objects to Relational Databases the easy way
• Many, Many bug fixes

VisualWorks:

• Glorp now fully supported as our Object/Relational layer
• Hundreds of Locales supported for internationalization via CLDR
• Store now uses Glorp
• Atomic loading for Store
• Many, Many bug fixes

If you are a Cincom customer, you should expect to see the release CD/DVD arrive within the next couple of weeks (if you don't, please let us know). NC users - we'll have the site updated with the new download after the new year, so you can make Smalltalk part of your New Year's Resolutions :)
