Things were simpler a couple of years ago, when you were either a corporate drone using IE, or a "power user" using Firefox. Now? There are three main options on the Mac, and, of course, the newer revs of IE on Windows:
If you do any web development at all, you probably want to use Firefox with Firebug, or possibly Chrome with its development tools. Safari is fast, but it's a consumer tool, not a developer one. Things aren't simple between Chrome and Firefox though: Firefox tends to chew through memory like a drubk going for cheap vodka, but... there are all those extensions. Chrome is fast, but it seems to take a long time with "resolving host" at times, and then there's the weird "can't load an HTML document from the file system" thing.
So I flip - back and forth, forth and back, never really pleased with the choice I've made.
