Hi,
Have a look on the tutorial in JDK 1.3. There is lot of stuff and examples. If you can run the examples (you can run them while browsing), your browser is capable of running the JApplet. If you are conneted to the Internet, your browser will download the plugin if it is not properly installed.

The HTML code for the JApplet is different then the Applet. I think there is a tool on the plugin page to convert you Applet HTML code to a JApplet code.

If you can make the examples work with your browser, replace the JApplet name in the sample code with your applet.

I am sure this will work.

The main point is to use Swing apps instead of getting (problems with) your apps running intoa Browser !

You can either in Java 1.1 have the swing packages as one of your downlaodable files (not a good idea on a SLOW connection). Have the applet being recognized as such as a object (in the Browser sense of the word, not like in Java). The Browserwill then use a plugin to run the JApplet.

You shuold however really consider using a Swing App.

I forgot to say one thing !
Swing is in fact nice things writtenin AWT.
I would advise ou to give a look at http://www.audi.be (it's unfortunatelly only in French or Dutch). Just click Fran?ais (French is closer to englsih than Dutch is :-) )

Now if you look at the differnt car you have each time a menu holding a reference to the Car configurator. The code was written a few year back & all the elements (graphical component) have been re-written in AWT...

Nice, he !

hi,

For opeing JApplet in browser, first we need to convert the JApplet into HTML format. For this purpose there are lot of tools available in market. I had tried with HTMLConverter a free downlodable. I donot exactly remember the site name, but u got to Google search, and typew HTMLConverter, it gives u the link.
