I have done a java instant messaging on my site, it used to be web based and works fine..just a lil slow..I like how java can be instant as it uses networking instead of page refresh..

well it works great..but now no one is chatting on my site anymore because they don't wanna download a 10 meg plug in...what do i do? should i convert my japplet and uninstall jdk1.4 and install 1.1 instead and re-compile my applets?
