Caching of data in a cluster Posted: Oct 6, 2002 3:46 PM

Hi
I am working on a web application, which is developed on J2EE Technology. There is some static data like country information, (which may change very rarely) and there is some other data which changes not freequently.
In real time scenario, my application need to deploy in a clustered environment.
Which is the bestway to cache the above type of data, what is the best way to purge data if required.

I have one solution, I don't know whether it works or not. I thought of using application object(servlet context) to cache the data.
But my doubt is the application object data is same across all nodes in the cluster or not ??. Means If i change the application object, generally my request go to the one of the node. Will the other nodes application objects also get reflected or not.

Advise me in this situation

Thanks in advance.

Madhu
