Xoreax Software announced this week the first public beta release of IncrediBuild v3.00, a general-purpose distributed execution engine designed to accelerate code builds, makefile-based processes, data builds, custom scripts and many other complex MS-Windows based processes.
Through a simple set of interfaces, processes serially running a set of commands can be executed through XGE (Xoreax Grid Engine), transforming execution into a parallel process distributed across machines in the local network. As a result, up to a 90% speed-up can be easily obtained for many common tasks. Uniquely, no pre-configuration apart from defining which types of tasks may be executed remotely is required - XGE executes all remote tasks in a special protected Virtual Environment which fully emulates the initiating machine’s environment, ensuring correct results are obtained from the distributed process.
This release of IncrediBuild also enhances IncrediBuild’s support for Visual Studio, which uses XGE technology to cut down C/C++-based build time by up to 90%.
