Sorry for the spam, but I don't know where else to post this message. I couldn't find a "contact" link on Artima's site.

I bought the book last week but never received a confirmation email. I would like to download the latest copy of the book but I don't have a magic URL.

What should I do?

It should be available for download in your "Account Settings" page if everything went well.

You should have gotten a confirmation email, but the eBook you can just download by clicking on a link on the page that comes back after your payment goes through. At any time later, as Jeff Heon mentioned, you can grab it from your settings page. Tonight probably I'll be sending out an email with a link where you can download the new version, but that's what you'll get if you go to your settings page.

Thanks for your replies.

I still can't download the book, but I think I know where the problem started.

To make a long story boring, it seems that 'mail.com' based email accounts won't accept Artima's emails. I tried two different mail.com accounts.

So I never received a book purchase confirmation email with a magic url. Because of mail.com's problems, my various workaround attempts leave me with two Artima accounts, neither of which is properly linked to a book sale.

Both of my Artima accounts now point to non mail.com email addresses.

Any thoughts?

For the record, this issue was resolved soon after my last post. Bill replied directly to me via email.

Lesson: don't use mail.com

Google mail accounts never give such issues. I would say: use Gmail! It is excellent in filtering out spam also.
