In his blog post http://wiki.apidesign.org/wiki/Scala Jaroslav Tulach (founder of NetBeans IDE and platform...) is criticizing Scala's core libraries in pretty harsh words. Is there some truth in this post, or has he misunderstood something?

Could someone here defend Scala? What on earth is the rationale of that Product1...20 series Tulach is using as an example?

I'd like to know that I'm not going to have live in API madness, before I really start using this (so far pretty attractive) language :-)

Best Regards,
Joonas
