ยง1.2 cites CSP as a 'channel-based system', in which 'messages are sent to channels that processes can share'.

Maybe this is true of MPI, but I don't think it's true of CSP. At least, my Occam 2 Reference Manual says that 'Channels provide unbuffered, unidirectional point-to-point communication between two concurrent processes.'
