Hey Can you help me with this question
Why we use MQ series for messaging why not other products
and How it is used ? please clarify

ANSWER:

YES we can use any MOM products which is JMS-compliant middleware.
since MQ is one of that also it has lot of advantages over other products.

2.Assures reliable delivery of messages, dynamically distributes workload across available resources, and helps make programs portable

3.Delivers enhanced performance with integrated Java Messaging Support (JMS), making it the JMS provider of choice.

4.Ensures that your data is delivered free from errors and safe from unauthorized access.

5. Offers comprehensive security options using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the Internet standard for secure
communication

also LAST NOT LEAST.

6. Simplifies development of Application Programming Interface (API) exits to allow monitoring and implementation of local standards

I hope this helps you to unerstand the on MQ use in messageing app.

I am a Microsoft programmer, I have to set up the MQ series with Windows 2000 server to get and put the messages on the Mainframe. I am ready with the program in VB 6.0 and the Mainframe people have given me the queue names also but I really dont know what all I need to setup in my machine side, in my program I do have a reference setup for the Queues but in machine side I have no knowledge(program side I know because there was already a program so I took the coding from there).

I know I need to set up system variable and its value on my machine, which also I have. Please guide! I may be able to answer more if you ask specifically.

MQ series client is also setup on my machine.

I am also facing a similar problem and I am not familiar with mq series.

could you please post how you have solved this problem? I am also using vb to connect to mq.
