I am trying to build a SOAP service using Apache Axis 1.0, Apache 1.3.27 and tomcat. I am not sure which version of tomcat should I use, 4.1.24 or 4.0.6? This will be a production appliation so stability is the highest priority then bells and whistles.

I also require some good reference to build web service using the above products.

They have XML, Web Services, Java, and Grid Computing areas full of articles - Search for SOAP and have fun!
