java application

Posted by kk on December 14, 2000 at 2:25 PM

As we can compile a java file from a different directory other than from the
directory in which the source file is located, similarly i want to
execute the compiled file from a different directory
(eg:

filelocation --> c:\java\app\sample.java

directory from which file is compiled --> c:\java

execution from --> c:\java

I have tried java -Djava.app.classpath="directory" filename
but disnt work. suggest me for this problem.
