newbie MulticastSocket problem

Hullo there,

I have tried several different examples of subscribing and receiving from a multicast channel using MulticastSocket...I can get them all to compile and run correctly however
1) although the "server" class seems to be happy sending out its data
2) the "client" class never seems to receive anything...it just waits and waits :o(

I am running windows 2000 professional, new installation, no firewall or anything (unless there is some sneaky one built into the OS)...can anybody help?
