Dont trust those unicode characters..........

Hi Ruchi & hema,

You need to be careful with unicode characters as they are also
valid characters in your source as well. In your case, '\u00a'
is inserting a carriage return in your code immediately after
the 'a'. This is terminating your line of code prematurely. The
reason /* */ works is because this is a multi line comment and
will comment out the (now) two lines of code, so the complier
will ignore it.
