Feed Description: How I stopped worrying and learned to love the Borg.
I read with interest the recent jihad declared by Geoff Bowers to educate java developers on the
benefits of Cold
Fusion MX, which is Sun-certified, will run on any J2EE app server, and according to him
at least, gives java developers a front-end framework that is superior to JSF and Struts.
As an assimilated ex-VB developer, I have not had the pleasure of working with Cold Fusion,
but I have worked with several CF developers who profess enduring love for it and swear it
is the next best thing to Ben Affleck on steroids (or Robin Williams on Valium, take your
pick). Fierce foodfights and verbal mudslinging between the few dejected ASP script kiddies
and these CF jocks in my former company were a profound testament to their loyalty to
Macromedia.
I'm hoping Geoff Bowers displays the same enthusiasm educating Cold Fusion developers on the
benefits of Java as he does espousing the advantages of CF to Java developers. Renegade
nodes can be such a pain to re-indoctrinate.
