This question is specifically for those of us who use Eclipse on Unix or Linux. Under the classic Update Manager will setting up an separate plugin directory extension point increase the number of open files that stay open beyond what would normally occur if plugins were kept in the base Eclipse install? I am noticing a difference between Windows and Linux and have wondered about this point or assumption.
