  • Sorting letters at the Royal Mail
"An artist wanted to see just how dedicated the letter sorting people were in the Royal Mail in England. So, she mailed letters addressed using puzzles instead of the usual name-and-address format. Of the 130 letters she mailed, only 10 never arrived. Really good delivery rate, imho, especially considering at least one of them required the postal workers to complete the crossword!!"
  • Today’s JavaScript WTF » Clientcide (Formerly CNET’s Clientside)
"MooTools cohort Jim Wilson sends me this wonderful little nugget of entertainment today. Microsoft’s SharePoint app has in it’s web app code this lovely little bit of JavaScript."
  • Fluid Project Wiki - Fluid Project Wiki
Make open source software more usable! "An open, collaborative project to improve the user experience of community source software."
  • Ejacs: a JavaScript interpreter for Emacs
"Around a year ago, I wrote a blog called Stevey's Boring Status Update, mostly in response to wild rumors that I'd been fired from Google. Not so. Not yet, anyway. In that blog I mentioned I was working nights part-time (among other things) on a JavaScript interpreter for Emacs, written entirely in Emacs Lisp. I also said I didn't have a name for it. A commenter named Andrew Barry suggested that I should not call it Ejacs, and the name stuck. Ejacs is a port of Narcissus. Narcissus is a JavaScript interpreter written in JavaScript, by Brendan Eich, who by pure unexpected coincidence is also the inventor of JavaScript. Narcissus is fairly small, so I thought it would be fun to port it to Emacs Lisp."
  • Anatomy of a JavaScript object
"This post is about how the JavaScript engine represents JS objects in memory. I’m afraid a lot of it will seem obscure and opaque unless you already know a bit about SpiderMonkey internals, or you have the perseverance to click some of the links below and read the documentation."
  • 64-bits: 64 bit Linux Flash
I never know if this stuff is important, but people are suuure vocal about it, and it will be awhile before Silverlight gets there right?
  • CoCoMo - Collaboration for Every Developer
"Along with the Flash Platform news, we’ve released CoCoMo, one of the coolest products at Adobe. CoCoMo is basically a framework that lets you add collaboration to any Flex application out there. It comes with a few basic components like video chat, text chat, and whiteboards, but it also includes hooks so that you can build your own real-time collaborative application."
  • Daddy, Where's Your Phone?
Vic G (who was VP of my group at Google) has a nice story about why he left Microsoft for Google and Big Tim just blogged it.
  • Take the Tour de Flex
"Tour de Flex showcases the capabilities of Flex, BlazeDS, LCDS, Adobe AIR, and Flash Player (now collectively called the Adobe Flash Platform)."
