If you were to compare bug defects in MS IIS and Aapche, one would think that you woudl compare the gug/security reports for both webservers makign sure that they were production releases correct? Here we have Resoning comparing production web server code to open source development code trees centered on Aapache 2.1.1.

As you can see by the httpd page at Aapche.org, 1.3.7 is stable relase with 2.0.47 being the stable 2.0 version release. Given that defect code rates is higher both in open source and commerical development tree rbanches what did they hoep to accomplish by comparing devlopemnt code of v2.1 HTTPD Aapche code to production stable commercial code other than FUD?

But maybe I am worng. Maybe you can realistically and stasticlaly compare develoment code defects to production code in a webserver; however, I do not see how you could do that and keep the numerical data comparable. But then again I would not hold my breathe for the explanation in that I don;t thinkthere is one on this issue.
