I think I found a nice avenue of research in order to solve the Serialization performance hit problem with using Jini Surrogate Hosts to serve up Multiplayer games to moible devices. Why not use Garabage Collection timed patterns as explain in this month's JDJ issue to reduce the serialization performance hit.

Even though its only attacking part of the serialization perfromance problem it still should get performnace up to where my surrogate jini hosting concept to deliver multiplayer games to J2ME devices should be workable and playable from the end user stand point. The biggest amount of work will be studying object creation/destruction pattersn within the J2ME games and designing a garabage collection pattern around those models.

Well at least now that problem is somewhat solveable and one small apsect of the gameGo spec figured out.
