For those who haven't heard, Microsoft announced that starting after the release of Visual Studio 2005, it is transitioning it's MSDN Universal/Enterprise annual subscriptions to a new suite of offerings based on the Visual Studio brand. After that time, you will no longer be able to order or renew your existing MSDN subscription.

Click here to check out the available upgrade paths. Pricing looks like it's going way up, but it looks like there's finally going to be a significant difference between new & renewal costs (unlike in previous years, where renewals may have been a few hundred bucks less out of a $2500 annual subscription).

Microsoft has a table that compares the various items available for each new MSDN for Visual Studio 2005 subscription level.
