These values make a heck of a lot of sense to me, except of course for that bit about tools not being very important. As someone who works for a developer tools vendor, I believe that developer tools are the answer to all of the world's problems, and I don't want people believing otherwise. ;-)
I know you're trying to be humorous here, but Agile doesn't say that tools aren't important. The piece that Eric is specifically talking about is:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
which comes from The Agile Manifesto. The way you should read this is: "We value processes and tools. We also value individuals and interactions. When they come in conflict, we tend favor individuals and interactions over processes and tools." (but that doesn't read nearly as succinctly. :)
