I have been waiting for months to finally being able to buy music online. I am sick and tired of buying CDs and DVDs, watch them once or copy them to my music library and then put them in the basement - forever.
I never got an account at iTunes, because I live in Switzerland - but I finally managed to get a MSN Music account and have been happliy purchasing music online! Whow.
Now on to the cool. All the licenses for my music were stored on my old Windows XP Media Center 2004 - which I have just re-formatted to install the new Windows XP Media Center 2005. Obviously, I forgot to back-up the licenses for my music.
Trying to play the music on the "fresh" system triggered the following, amazing process: Media Center told me that my licenses were missing, routed me to the MSN Music store which let me register / authorize my new PC and then downloaded all the licenses for me in a snap.
Whow!
My next wish: A ROM image for my iPod mini that lets me play WMA and sync the device to Windows Media Player 10 / Media Center 2005. ;)
