Back in December, Mike Griffiths devised an Agility Assessment Quiz. I was interested to see the agility-profile for the team I've been coaching recently. We came out as uber agile. You can see my answers to the questions and read an account of our team practices and successes here.
In a later post, Mike reminds us that merely applying an agile process is not a guarantee of success. There are always trade-offs, and unintended consequences. We must adapt and change accordingly and keep striving to build the best software we can. Referring to our quiz results, he goes on to say, this is not to say we should discourage passionate implementation of agile methods.
I'll add this: Be careful when you're adapting. Always uphold the values and use the principles to guide your application of practices and their adaptation in a given context.
