It's using the Seaside One-click Experience running behind Apache on a single instance.
Now, that url may well not be active by the time you see this; the poster did say that it's a proof of concept. However, it's a proof of concept for a real application server (Seaside) running in the cloud (Amazon EC2). Put S3 behind it for persistent storage, and map a Smalltalk dictionary to SimpleDB, and you really have something...
