I used to have good luck with travel; best I can tell, I'm getting karmic payback for that good luck. I got to BWI around 1, got to my gate... and they announced a hardware problem. A few minutes later, they cancelled the flight, and sent us back out of security to get our bags. That was bad enough.

I called the airline, and rebooked myself via Chicago. This was not going to work out though - the plane that was scheduled for that trip was the sae one I had been scheduled on to NY. So... back to the ticket counter, where they put me on a later NY flight - out of DCA. A cab ride later, and here I am at DCA, cooling my heels while I wait for that flight.

Fingers crossed - I hope I'm not developing the kind of travel issues Michael is known for.
