One of the things I've considered doing for awhile is having the ability to add a "now listening to" thing to my posts. Normally, I use a different Mac to listen to music, but when my daughter uses the iMac for homework, I switch to my small speakers. So I sat down this afternoon and crafted some AppleScript (with help from this page), and now I can append stuff like this to my posts:
