After the hustle and bustle of Christmas dinner was out of the way, we sat down and played a game that my friend Mike brought over: Wasabi. It's a resource management game, themed around fulfilling Sushi orders. Here's how things looked early:

The little bowls hold "wasabi cubes", which are worth points. You play items on the board, and if you get them in the same order as the menu, you get "style" points. That's ultimately what won me the game (by one point) - acquiring lots of those cubes. Here's Mike pondering a move later on:

It's a fun little game, and not at all hard to get started with.
