Go read this post, and then ask yourself: other than bringing confusion into the market, what is the benefit to Microsoft of having multiple versions of Windows 7 on offer? Why not just create one version, slap a reasonable price on it, and sell it? No one is left wondering what to get, or worrying after the fact that they got the wrong thing. Heck, if they priced it above the range of the middle offer they sell now, I bet they would make more money. Choices of this sort don't help people; they confuse them.
