Ernest Micklei has made it a whole lot easier to deploy Web Velocity to cloud, using his CloudFork AWS libraries and a few tips:

Deploying the Cloudfork framework for use in WebVelocity can be done by exporting parcels and writing autoload scripts to load them upon startup. The scripts can be dropped in WebVelocity/autoload, the parcels go into WebVelocity/libraries
