Hi Rajkumar,
The Actors in Scala book is ... finished!
It will take about a month before we'll be able to ship paper copies, but the final PDF will be released within the next few days. (Not sure if it will be before Christmas or right after at this point.)
There is a chapter on Akka and a foreword from Jonas Boner, but primarily the book is on actor concepts, which applies to both Scala and Akka actors and the Scala actors API.
