To add to the info given by Siddhant Kumar , i would like to add that all major browsers will support ur applet till u are using JDK1.1, U cannot run ur applet having JDK1.2 used without having plugins installed.
example for this is u cannot use Swings but of course u can use AWT.
I hope this settles ur problem
