Evision SDK

A client, a photographer, would like me to build an app that would let him work with his images out of a database. Currently, the images are not organized at all, and he does not want to pay me to do housekeeping. I've been looking for an idea that might make this project easier - I saw something over at http://www.evisionglobal.com. They have a SDK (beta) that allows for searching databases using images as a key. Was wondering if anyone had used this SDK before? Are there any comparable products on the market?
