yahool mail on my pda

I downloaded yahoo mail application to be able to sync my yahoo mail with my handspring pda, the yahoo mail icon appears on the handspring screen but when I attempt to click it does nothing. I want to be able to access and have my yahoo mail on my pda. Please help if you can.
