In case nobody has ever figuered this problem out, after awhile I realized that it can't write that file because they put a ':' (semicolon) in the .obj files name. Therefore, if you 1.)go to Project >> Options The default output directory is the project's directory, so I don't know why Symantec did that in the first place. Hope this helps.
