Message:

Java stripping '+' and replacing with a space

Posted by Justin Dutro on January 17, 2002 at 9:54 AM

We are using a Java service to take a string as an input and then print the string out to a file. The file is encrypted and when the string is printed out it strips the '+' character and replaces it with a space ' ', thus rendering the file useless. Does anyone know what is causing this?
Thanks,
Justin
